Auld Cellars Wine Portfolio
2019 Gewurztraminer
The 2019 Auld Cellars Gewurztraminer is exclusively made from grapes harvested from award winning Bennett Valley vineyards. The vineyard only yields 1-2 barrels per year. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months. Each vine is carefully attended to by Rick Auld. With great vigor, we sought to make our gewurztraminer as dry as possible. While you may be expecting a sweet white wine, the lack of sweetness in your glass will dazzle you. We recommend pairing this wine with spicy ethnic foods, like Thai and Indian. Let our gewurztraminer take you by surprise! We’re sure you won’t be disappointed.
2019 Chardonnay
The 2019 Auld Cellars Chardonnay hails from Iacovani Vineyards in Sonoma Valley, just east of Kenwood off Lawndale Road, on the far west side of Sonoma County. Our chardonnay is made in the traditional French “Sur Lies” manner, meaning leaving the fermentation ongoing in contact with the grape skins instead of racking and fining. Aged in oak barrels for 12 months. It will be slightly cloudy, but it will pair perfectly with fish, chicken, salads, and light summer soups. Ready for a unique chardonnay, this is one is for you.
2018 Zinfandel
The 2018 Serendipitous Zinfandel was aged for 18 months in mainly neutral oak barrels. It is silky smooth, soft, and balanced. The definition of Serendipitous is “the result, acceptance, practice and acknowledgement that following a path in life aligned with others willing in common occurrence to share, discover and invent; sometimes by science, sometimes by chance, sometimes unplanned, always in a happy and beneficial way.”
